Key Responsibilities Business Partnering & Support Act as the primary finance business partner to project management, business development, and clinical operations teams. Support project budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis at the study/project level. Provide financial insights and recommendations to drive cost efficiency and margin improvement. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the business unit. Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, highlighting risks and opportunities. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue, billability, utilization, and project margins. Project & Contract Financial Management Review and support pricing models, contract financial terms, and change orders for client contracts. Track project financials including revenue recognition (e.g., percentage of completion), costs, and milestone billing. Work closely with project managers to ensure financial compliance with client contracts and internal policies. Reporting & Compliance Prepare monthly management reports and dashboards for leadership. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls. Support internal and external audits as required. Ad Hoc Analysis Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to support new business opportunities, client negotiations, and operational improvements. Qualifications & Experience Required • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. • 5+ years of relevant finance experience, ideally within a CRO, pharmaceutical, clinical research, or life sciences environment. • Strong understanding of project-based accounting, revenue recognition (e.g., IFRS 15), and contract financial management. • Excellent Excel and financial modeling skills. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills – ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights. • Fluency in English (both written and spoken). Preferred • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). • Experience working in a matrixed, multinational organization. • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and project accounting tools.
